The song which will represent Portugal in this year's Eurovision Song Contest has been announced in the programme Operação Triunfo. Rita Guerra will sing Deixa-me sonhar (só mais uma vez) in Riga.
With 75.1% of the votes, Deixa-me sonhar with lyrics and music by Paulo Martins was the winning song. The song is a ballad which showcases Rita's powerful and emotive voice. Nothing was mentioned about the votes of the other 2 songs.
The Portuguese people are hoping to see her score high in the Eurovision Song Contest as since 1996, Portugal has not done so well in the competition.
