LIVE

The show has started.

1. VIPHviezdy

Current poll result: 2.8% (=9th)

The show opens with a straightforward pop/rock song, which was the most popular style in the Slovakian semi finals. The vocals are strong and the simple performance works well with the music. It might not be the most spectacular entry tonight and as it was not very popular with the televoters in its semi final, it might not be a dark horse tonight.

2. Andrea ZimányiováPrines si ten kl'uc

Current poll result: 17.9% (1st)

The classic and timelessEurovision ballad, which could have been performed in any edition of the contest for the last 30 years, is performed flawlessly by the singer. The song builds up strongly, the vocals are perfect and the classy dress suits the overall performance very well. However, with many ballads already chosen it is not sure if it would stand out enough in Mosocw.

3. Robo Šimko & MassRiotMôj anjel spí

Current poll result: 2.1% (=12th)

This entry was a surprise qualifier in the first semi final. The performance is less cheesy this time, but song and performance still appear to be way too "soft" to be seen as an authentic rock entry. The chorus is not very catchy and it is not very likely that they will win tonight.

4. Zachariáš HubácekBolo bolo

Current poll result: 0.7% (16th)

A laid-back R&B song is performed now. The song tries to sound very American, but in the end it is just rather repetitive. The performance is kept very simple and far from being memorable. Obviously, this is not a song for the Eurovision Song Contest.

5. Martina SchindlerováKrídla

Current poll result: 8.3% (4th)

Another very classy performance of a classy Eurovision ballad by a female singer. Comparing the second and the fifth entry tonight, it is hard to decide which one might have the bigger chances. The vocal performance is flawless.

6. MukatadoJa sa mám

Current poll result: 2.1% (=12th)

A rather strong entry now mixing timeless pop music with some ethnic elements. Although the performance is flawless, the overall entry might need something special to really stand out.

7. Tomáš BezdedaKazdý z nás

Current poll result: 17.2%

We are back in the rock genre. Although the arrangement could be even "harder", it is an authentic attempt with a strong performance and flawless vocals. This song should have very high chances of doing well tonight and might even stand a chance in Moscow.

8. Robo Opatovský Prší

Current pollr result: 2.8% (=10th)

The victory of this song in the third semi final was seen as a surprise by most people. Although the performance is very emotional, the song is very repetitve and lacks a memorable chorus or a climax at one point. The SMS voters don't seem to be very enthusiastic this time, either.

9. Smola a hruškyNa com zálezí

Another rock song. It is a very catchy one, the performance works very well and the trumpet adds a nice effect to it. However, probably no dark horse tonight.

10. Peter Bazík a Andrea SulovskáNebudem stát

Current poll result: 4.8% (7th)

A very dramatic duet performance now. The vocal performances are strong and the song can't deny a certain level of quality. But if it could do well in Moscow? The SMS voters obviously don't think so.

11. JanaisTaram ta rej

Current poll result: 4.1% (8th)

A sweet little ballad is performed now. While the performance is as strong as the vocals, it might not be outstanding enough for the Eurovision Song Contest.

12. Mária CírováBúrka

Current poll result: 7.6% (5th)

The candles on the piano are back for the performance of this very classy ballad. The vocals are a bit shaky, but the song has a strong memorable melody.

13. Kamil Mikulcík & Nela PociskováLet' tmou

Current poll result: 2.1% (=12th)

The second dramatic duo performance tonight. This song seems to be a bit stronger, the vocals are flawless and the whole act comes across well on screen. The only issue might be that the two singer don't really seem to sing together once in a while. The duo leads the SMS voting.

14. Michal ChrenkoProti prúdu

Current poll result: 1.4% (15th)

A ballad again now. The melody is not very memorable and the performance lacks some charisma. Hard to believe that this entry could stand a chance tonight.

15. Komajota7 nocí

Current poll result: 6.9% (6th)

The penultimate song tonight is a rather unspectacular pop/rock attempt. Although the vocals are strong, the melody is not very memorable and it probably would not stand a chance in Moscow.

16. Samo TomecekTo Äo chceš

The last song tonight is a pop/rock ballad with some minor classical elements. The vocals are flawless and the performance is strong, but it does not seem to be the favourite tonight.
