Tonight, the second and last semi final of the Romanian national selection for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest was held. Twelve songs were presented and televoting and the jury have chosen the final six to move forward to the national final, which will be aired on Saturday.
The following songs have made it to the final:
- Costi Ionita – Can you forgive
- Red Blonde – Nu am cu cine
- Elena Gheorghe – The Balkan Girls
- Catalin – Stop
- Alin Nica – Don't leave
- IMBA – Round & round

Like on Tuesday, five of the songs that reached the top six of the poll, have qualified for the final. The results are even more close as from the top seven songs, only the number fourth (Besa, 9.4%) did not qualify. Also unlike Tuesday, the poll winner (Catalin, 36.1%) qualified for Saturday. However, IMBA, who got 0% in the poll made it to the next round.

In 2008, Romania wasrepresented by Nico and Vlad, who finished and 7th in the first semifinal and 20th in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest with their entry Pe-o margine de lume.
