Officially: Stelios Konstantas for Cyprus to Riga

The Cypriot broadcaster CyBC has officially announced that the winner of the competition for Eurovision Song Contest 2003 entry is Stelios Konstantas with his own composition Feeling alive. Lyrics are in English and written by Stelios himself.


The selection was made internally by a 3-member jury on February 2nd. The CD is to be released by V2 Records in Greece. Stelios has tried twice before to become the Cypriot Eurovision participant; in 1997 and 1999 and came 2nd and 4th respectively.

He has been singing for a few years now in clubs in Cyprus and Greece and recently he has been performing with Antique. He has released an album and two hit CD singles and is one of the most popular artists on the island.

The song will be first presented to the television viewers on Saturday in a weekly popular show. Stelios is the special guest in the Greek national final in Athens on February 26th and later on he will travel to various countries for guest appearances to promote his song.
