OGAE Luxembourg: Eurovision fun and glamour

OGAE Luxembourg hosted the Euro gala Televie 2008 on Friday 17th with two hundred and sixty guests, local and international. The gala featured Corinne Hermes, Marion Welter as well as this year's Portuguese entrant and fan favourite Vania Fernandes as guests of honour. Corinne Hermes chose the particular event for the world premiere of her new album Si la vie est cadeau, 25 ans as well as the first presentation of her new video clip.

Fans from all over Europe joined OGAE Luxembourg in the second edition of the Euro Gala, held on 17th October. They flew in from many countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, UK, Ireland, Denmark, Armenia, Croatia, Portugal and Italy among others to join the fun and participate in the night's contest as jurors. 11 songs entered the song contest andeighteenyear old Melissa won with Chamar a musica, the grand prize was a trip to Portugal sponsored by TAP.

Twenty dancers of the popular Portuguese Grupo etnografico do alto minho opened the show and also accompanied Vania Fernandes on stage with a visualisation of her 2008 entry Senhora do mar. Corinne Hermes performed her new version of Si la vie est cadeau to a touched audience who kept singing along the entire song.

The OGAE Luxembourg Gala attracted a lot of major media attention in the country with representatives from many local media present. RTL reported twice on the event and were present to interview Corinne Hermes.
