NTU, the Ukrainian broadcasting company has started early with the preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003. Now we can tell you that already in Tallinn it was clear that Olexandr would represent Ukraine at the 2003 contest.
Olexandr is 29 and the most popular artist of his home country, Ukraine, a 7- times Ukraine's best singer. May 25th will be 10 years since he performed the very first time, so there is a reason for celebrations.
After that it was decided that NTU would ask also some foreign composers and songwriters to send in their songs among the Ukrainian songs. This way NTU wanted to be sure to have the best possible song for Olexandr and Ukraine's first participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Songs were asked from Australia, Canada, Germany, Latvia, Malta, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Among the foreign composers there are also some very well-known songwriters. At this point it is still too early to say , which entry will represent the Ukraine, but this decision will be made during February.
