According to unconfirmed rumours that appeared on the internet, ERT is planning to host the Greek national final either on the 24th, or the 25th of February. The Greek broadcaster is also expected to revamp the event this year.

The same source revealed that the draw for the running order of the participating songs has already taken place. Although the full list is not available yet, there was information about some of the well known participants. It is rumoured that Manto (pictured) will perform in 5th position, Lakis Papadopoulos in 10th position and Yiannis Vardis in 8th position. Sabrina, another 'strong' contender, is said to have been drawn near the start.

Additionally, it appears that the Greek broadcaster is trying to revamp the national final after high ratings last year. It is rumoured that ERT is planning to expose the ten participating songs in TV programs spread over a period of three days. This plan includes a special program on the last Saturday evening before the final and an additional performance of the songs on Monday morning during the TV magazine “10 me 2” (10 to 2) which is presented by Rika Vagiani and Popi Tsapanidou.

It now appears that the national final itself may not be held at Rex, as previously reported. ERT is said to be looking for a venue that could be available for some days before the big final and Rex cannot satisfy this requirement. Other venues are being considered, one of which seems to be Diogenis Studio.
