A Polish return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is possible this year, according to Aneta Wrona of Polish broadcaster TVP. Poland's representative would be chosen through the existing television show “Mini szansa”, and would be broadcast on TVP2, Poland's secondary national channel.

Poland is one of the 16 original participants in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having debuted in 2003, but withdrew in 2004 after 2 last places out of 2 attempts.

It is as yet unclear as to whether TVP has officially submitted their participation bid to the EBU, but with Sweden withdrawing from the competition, it seems likely that they will be accepted.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 will take place later this year in Limassol, Cyprus.
