The four songs that will compete on representing Israel in Eurovision 2016 will be presented for the first time tomorrow during the program Ba’avir (On air) that will be broadcast on IBA’s radio Reshet Gimel at 12:05 local time (11:05 CET). The program will last for 55 minutes.
As reported earlier, the four finalists of Rising Star 2016 will sing an actual song during the final (in brackets – the songwriters):
- Hovi Star – Made of stars (Doron Medalie)
- Nofar Salman – Made of stars (Doron Medalie)
- Ella Daniel – Somebody out there (David Maman, Phillip Hayun)
- Gil Hadash – Follow the sun (Stav Beger, Tom Gefen)
Two of the participants (Hovi and Nofar) will sing the same song, written by Doron Medalie (who also wrote Israel’s entry for Eurovision 2015, Golden boy), but in different arrangements).
The songs were chosen out of more than 100 entries of 80 different authors that were submitted to the professional committee made of members of IBA, Keshet Broadcasting (which broadcasts Rising Star) and the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation.
