The Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO received 88 songs for the national final EMA 2003. A jury of four members will select 16 songs, their names will be announced December 17.

The Slovenian broadcaster is still searching for a proper venue for the national final. It is said that the Gospodarsko Razstavisce in Ljubljana is the most logical choice, because this venue has been renovated recently. RTVSLO will make their decision public in two weeks.

Aleksander Radic, responsible for the national final at RTVSLO, told to DotEurovision.com that the broadcaster will decide in which language the winning song will be performed at the Eurovision Song Contest, in combination with the composer, writer and performers of the winning song as has also happened in recent years. He also said that “everyone at the Entertainment Programme of RTVSLO is extremely pleased that Slovenia will perform as the last country in Riga. Nevertheless we still know that we will need a good song”.
