Belorussian broadcaster BTRC has announced that a slight change to the lyrics for Belarus’s entry Cheesecake has been made to comply with EBU regulations.
TEO made the announcement during an interview with the broadcaster, speaking about the preparations he and his crew are making for the upcoming show in May.
In the original version of the song, “Google Maps” is referenced during the chorus. According to the EBU regulations for the contest, “no messages promoting any organization, institution, political cause or other, company, brand, products or services shall be allowed”. Because of this, the lyrics will be changed to read “all the maps“. TEO also stated that although the lyrics have been adjusted for Copenhagen, the video they filmed for the song will remain the same.
This is not the first time the EBU regulations have forced changes to lyrics. The most recent example is San Marino’s entry for the 2012 contest with Valentina Monetta’s original entry Facebook (Uh Oh Oh), which was changed to The Social Network Song for the contest.

Belarus will compete in the second half of the second semi-final on 8 May 2014. Belarus debuted at the contest in 2004 and has yet to win the contest. Last year Alyona Lanskaya represented the country in Malmö with Solayoh, placing 16th in the grand final.
