BNT, the Bulgarian national broadcaster has informed esctoday.com that Bulgaria will not participate at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest next year.
BNT has decided to opt out of the competion due to budget cuts and financial reasons.
In 2013 Stoyan and Elitsa represented Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo with Samo Shampioni.
Bulgaria debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and is yet to win the event. The country’s best placing at the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2007, when they achieved a 5th placing with Stoyan and Elitsa‘s Voda!
