Slovenia kicked off their national final process tonight, and chose the first four songs to qualify for the final of EMA 2017.

This evening saw the first 8 acts of the selection performing in the first semi-final of EMA 2017. It was down to a combined public and jury vote to determine which 4 acts should qualify to the final of the competition next Friday.

The qualifiers were announced together on the evening, 2 of which were determined via the televote whilst the final 2 acts were chosen by a jury.

Tomorrow evening, Slovenia will choose their next four favourite songs to qualify for the final of EMA 2017, which will be held on Saturday 24 February.

Eleanor (or Ellie), is 26 years old, is from Exeter in the UK. She combines motherhood with studying linguistics. Ellie was first allowed to stay up and watch the Eurovision Song Contest aged 5 in 1999, but really fell in love with it after the Athens 2006 contest.
