RTVA, the Andorran national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that Andorra will not return to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017.

The landlocked country will not participate at the 2017  Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine.

Andorra debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and has never qualified to the grand final. Andorra withdrew from the competition in 2010 and has not returned since.

The last time we saw Andorra on the Eurovision stage was in 2009 when Susanne Georgi flew the Andorran flag in Moscow with her entry La teva decisio.

So far a total of 19 countries have confirmed their intention to participate at the fortchoming 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine.

The official list of participating countries at the 2017 ESC is expected to be released by the EBU by late December 2016/early January 2017.

The preliminary dates for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest have been set on 9, 11 and 13 May.
