Boris Novković, the Croatian representative at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest, will celebrate his 40th birthday and Christmas on the 25th of December quietly with a few close relatives before travelling to Vojvodina in Serbia for a New Year concert.

Boris said that when he was younger he had big birthdayparties with lots of good food and cakes, but that this year he's had a great number of shows, and he also has a new album coming out in February 2008, in which he hopes to return to the pop-rock of the beginning of his musical career.

"I am working on an album which doesn't yet have a title. I'll think of one when I've listened to it a few times. I was very happy to be invited to sing at New Year in Kovačica where there is a Slovakian minority. I shall sing before about 6 000 people", said Boris, for whom money is not important when he likes the place in which he is performing. He says that his father, the composer Đorđe who died last May, is always in his heart, and that this concert will be in his honour.
