Il Volo, the pop opera trio that will represent Italy in the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest submitted yesterday their 3 minute Eurovision version to the organizing committee of the contest.

On March 16, the 40 participating broadcasters were asked by the EBU to submit their Eurovision entries on the HoD meeting that took place in Vienna. Italy was the only country that was given an extension to submit their entry after two weeks time. ESCToday.com sources talk about the difficulties the composers Ciro Esposito and Francesco Boccia faced in chopping the 3:44 minutes long SanRemo version, down to the 3 minutes, in order to comply with the Eurovision rules.
