Melodifestivalen host and Swedish Eurovision Song Contest commentator Kristian Luuk has visited host city of the upcoming contest: in late November and early December, he and a crew of broadcaster SVT visited Belgrade. Inter alia, Kristian Luuk met with Alexandar Tijanic, head of host broadcaster RTS.

During the meeting, topics of rather questionable importantance were discussed: "Will the Swedish represantative be treated in a really good way back stage and be served really good food?", "Will the microphones in Beogradska Arena work?"…

Kristian Luuk has also visited the Belgrade Arena and let some of the Belgraders on the street have their say on the upcoming event – all in a funny way of course. The result of his Belgrade vist will be shown for the public on SVT1 during the Melodifestivalen semi finals.

Melodifestivalen 2008 will kick off on 9th February and will be held over four semi finals and a second chance round before the grand final on 15th March. You can find the list of singers and songs announced so far here.
