The Latvian broadcaster LTV held a draw on November 22 to decide the order of appearance of the fifteen selected national final songs.
Besides the fifteen songs, three extra songs are selected in case if any of the participants can not perform. This triplet will perform in the national final, but they won't be jugded by any jury or televoters. “It's their chance to show themselves to the world”, LTV says. The spare songs are Only with you performed by Elīna Ņinkovska, Not just a toy performed by the group Iedomu spārni and Let's fly performed by the group Apvedceļ�.
Small changes were made in the names of some songs and participants. You can find the list of participants in the running order on the Latvia 2003 page.
