Today's opening performance is a quite ethnic one… enjoy it!

1. IntsidentByagstva

This week we start with an ethno ballad. The group looks a bit like the Bulgarian version of the Kelly Family while the song has no obvious hook neither any special musical elements but gets a bit more lively in the second half. The performance is very inncoent and one could even say pretty half-harted.

2. LoradoParodoks remiks

Lorado is accompanied by three female dancers who have obviously forgot to put on some clothes and appear in their underwear on stage (to be fair, they are wearing boots at least). The song isanotherethnic popsong – a pretty lively one, even ifquite repetitive. The singerstands not out on stage, especially since he is casually dressed which does not work very well with the overall performance.

3. Ivelina KolaksazovaDance with me

Definitely the most professional performance so far… the vocals are very good and energetic and work well with the disco song. The song also has some hip hop elements and is quite catchy. Nice breakdance performance in the background (even if not the first one in EuroBGvision).

4. Nadezhda ManovaThe sweetest kiss

The first ballad of the evening and it's a pretty stereotypical one. The singer is wearing a very classy black evening gown tha suits her well. There are no background vocals although this might have not been a very good decision since the vocals are not flawless – especially at the beginning. The performance is very static (especially during the longs instrumental bridge part) and probaly not emotional enough, mainly because the singer seemed very nervous.

5. Guava JellySmelly king-size bed

This is probably the strangest national final song title ever (maybe along with Lithuania's Bad salad ballad last year). The song is very repetitive and musically there is nothing special (maybe besides the slight reggae feeling). The band palys the instruments (piano, guitar and drums) very lively but the sound comes not out that way which makes the whole entry look like a playback performance.

6. Pavel MixovZabraven plaj

This is a typical Eurovision Song Contest national final midtempo ballad performed by a casually dressed singer. The audience claps along and the vocals are good, even though there are no background singers. The performance is nothing special and could be improved if the song qualifies.

The last entry – Borqnawith Za teb – will not be performed for unknown reasons.

In two weeks, the winners of the last three heats will be revealed.
