After much speculation, it has been confirmed that 28-year-old Spanish singer Gisela will represent Andorra at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Serbia. RTVA confirmed to esctoday.com this morning that everything is in place and she will sing for Andorra.

In a statement issued to OGAE Andorra, the broadcaster states "the artist, known by everyone as one of the finalists of the programme Opeación Triunfo, will take part in the contest representing RTVA. Andorra will compete for the fifth year running."

Barcelona-born Gisela entered the Operación Triunfo academy back in 2001, and has since worked on projects with Disney including a new Spanish version of Beauty and the Beast (La bella y bestia). She joined Rosa's backing vocal group on stage for Spain in Tallin after Rosa asked fellow competitors to perform with her on stage. Now she will get the opportunity to sing as lead vocalist at the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time.

The song will be announced in the near future, only one song will be used, and there will be no public selection.
