The names of the artists that will perform eight out of the ten finalist songs next January 12th in the Cypriot national final have been revealed. Who will sing the other two entries, Turning to you and Sugar mountain, is still unknown. As a remarkable fact, it seems one singer, Nikolas Metaksas, will perform 3 songs.

Itis thought thatNikolas Metaksasmay perform three songs on January 12th on the RIK 3 stage. This 20-year-old talented musician took part in the Cypriot national final in 2006 as backing singer to the song Funky. Another name in the list, Marlain Angelidou, is familiar to eurofans since she represented Cyprus in Eurovision 1999, placing a surprisingly low 22nd with the song Tha'nai erotas.
Constantinos Andronikou already took part in the Cypriot selection in 2006. He placed 8th with the song Every time I close my eyes.
Sofia Strati has enjoyed big success lately thanks to her hit Mia petalouda. In addition, she performed in this year's UEFA Champions League final, in Athens, to a public of 80,000 people.
Cyprus will take part in one of the two semifinals scheduled for May 20th and 22th 2008.
