As previously announced, Nuno Resende, who represented Belgium in 2005, will be playing the role of Aladdin throughout December in a musical given at the “Palais des Congrès”, Paris. The first show will be performed this Saturday.

In addition to his role, a duet with Florence Coste, On se reconnaîtra, has been released on cd single this week (Universal France).

Before Nuno represented Belgium at Eurovision, he had already recorded a single for a musical (together with Clémence, Philippe D'avilla & Pino Santoro), in 2002. Unfortunately, Jeanne la romantique (dealing with Jeanne d'Arc's life) was never staged.

The year after, the artist was part of the cast of Les Demoiselles de Rochefort (a remake of the famous 1967 French movie, with Catherine Deneuve). Another Euro-star, Mélanie Cohl (Belgium 1998), held one of the two main roles.

Another interesting fact about Nuno is that he was a member of the Belgian group La Teuf, which placed 6th in the national selection, back in 2000.
