ORF, the Austrian national broadcaster has announced that City of Vienna #12 points has been implemented as the city’s branding slogan and will feauture throughout the 2015 Eurovision host city Vienna; posters, billboards, city lights, rolling boards etc.
Eurovision fever is catching up in Wien, the majestic Austrian capital with Vienna #12 points implented as the city’s branding slogan! Eurovision fans and visitors to Vienna in the upcoming months will be able to bare witness as Vienna is all set to dress up specially for the occasion in order to celebrate the Eurofest!
ORF and the City of Vienna have launched a comprehensive City Branding campaign: City of Vienna – # 12 points which will be omni-present and visible throughout the Austrian capital during the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest. The #12 points has been inspired and based on the maximum number of points awarded in the contest. We must not forget the Eurovision Countdown Tower at Rathausplatz and the Eurovision Tram in Vienna will also carry and implement the Building Bridges logo and slogan.
Dr. Alexander Wrabetz, ORF’s General Director has commented:
12 Points is the maximum number of points awarded at Eurovision Song Contest and one of the most common phrases connected to the Eurovision Song Contest that comes to my mind. We have opted for the slogan, Vienna 12 points!, as ORF and the City of Vienna will do its level best in order to achieve the top marks as a Eurovision host city!
Mr. Christian Oxonitsch,Councillor for Education, Youth, Information and Sports has commented:
As of March billboards, posters, rolling boards etc will feature the slogan and city branding # 12 points and will be visible throughout Vienna! We want the Eurovision Song Contest to be a great feast and party for both the local Viennese and the visitors coming to Vienna!
The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held at the Wiener Stadthalle, in Vienna on 19, 21 and 23 May.
