In the Estonian newspaper SL Õhtuleht the representative of Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000, Eda-Ines Etti said that she is “not a star, just a person who is known”.
She told the journalist that it's very hard to become a star in Estonia, because it's quite easy to become a wellknown person. “I'm just a person, who some people know“, she told.
A bit later she admits that after Stockholm 2000 she thought about herself as star, but just for a short time. “During the 2 years period I've landed on my two feet. Anyone of us can be a wellknown person. I attract people, because I sing“.
Ines remembers Stockholm 2000 with a smile and warm feeling. “I was a little girl then and everything happened so fast. I didn't know much about the world and one moment I was inside of that world and that's how it all started. I think I did well there” Ines said.
She admits that before entering the stage she stopped and said to herself: “Eda-Ines, that's the moment“. “To be honest I couldn't put myself together for those 3 minutes” she admitted.
Ines didn't enter the Estonian national pre-selection last year, because she was irritated by media after Stockholm 2000. Ines says: “I've been there and got a good base for moving on, but next time I'd like to enter the contest with a song which is good enough to show myself. The position doesn't matter as long as I'm pleased with a song. Untill there's not a suitable song for me, I'll not enter the Eurovision pre-selection again.“.
In the article she surprizingly claims that she doesn't really love “Once in a Lifetime” and she would be a few hundred times happier if her new singel would do well.
Ines has been away from the big music scene for almost 1,5 years now, but in the beginning of November she presented a first single Highway to Nowhere from her new album.
