For the 7th time in a row, Bruno Berberes has been chosen by France 3 to be the channel representative and Head of delegation for France in Belgrade. This is a new record for France after Mr. Berberes first undertook the responsibility back in 2002, at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn.

Bruno Berberes has been working in the show business for more than 15 years now. Among his various tasks,he hasdirected castings for big French musicals, such as Le Roi Soleil, which has sold more than one million CDsand has been seen by1,400,000 spectators. He is also the artistic director in many events on stage (Creatures in Paris) as well as on TV.

As well as being responsiblefor the Eurovision Song Contest French selection, Bruno Berberes also cares for artists' promotion, his two latest protégés being Emmanuel Moire and Edu del Prado (vocal coach for the Star Academy 7).Concerning France 3's method for next year, nothing is decided yet. Last years' national final received disappointing viewing figures, despite being regarded as one of Europe's best and most modern finals. Bruno explained to esctoday.com that the show was just a start in returning the competition to the forefront of French music.
