As previously announced, a new compilation of Marie Myriam is now available in France, under the title Encore. It includes 16 tracks, among which L'oiseau et l'enfant, France's last winning song to date, in its 2002 version. Backside of the sleeve writes “Marie Myriam Lopes”, Lopes being her real name (actually, her parent's), to remind that she's of Portuguese origins.
Three new songs are on the track list, Nuages, Pars and Encore (un peu d'ordre à refaire), in a bossa-nova mood. A new version of Sentimentale, recorded in 1982, can also be found in the CD. The 11 remaining tracks are a collection of Marie Myriam's most famous songs.Marie Myriam is presently still touring France together with Tournée des idoles.
