Eight years after she represented France in Jerusalem, Nayah is still on the road, touring the country with a special show entitled “Tribute to Céline Dion” during which she pays tribute to the 1988 winner, performing her hits in French and English.
The1 hour and 15 minute-show features 17 of Celine's hits including the Titanc theme song My heart will go on, as welll as All by myself and Je ne vous oublier pas. Most of the songs in the show as well as Nayah's outfits and look areinspiredbyCeline at the Stade de France concert in 1999.
Now aged 46, Nayah (born Sylvie Mestre) won the 1999 French selection with Je veux donner ma voix. The song received just 14 points at the Eurovisin Song Contest in Israel but the lady had a lot of press coverage due to her connection with the Raelian sect. Although she denied being part of it any longer right after the scandal was made public, Nayah declared she was still member of the movement the year after, during a special press conference. Another interesting point about Nayah is that she took part in the 1990 Swiss selection, singing Dîtes à vos enfants together with Joël. They placed second, behind Egon Egemann.
