The lawsuit between the Swedish star Carola and the tabloid Hänt Extra has finished with the victory of the Eurovision 1991 winner. Now, the newspaper will have to pay 25,000 Swedish kronor to Carola.

The fight started in August, when the Swedish tabloid Hänt Extra published that Carola was mistreating her son, Amadeus. Then, Carola reported that information to the Press Ombudsman, the public officer who investigates citizens' complaints against the press' behaviour and oversees media ethics in Sweden.

Carola won her lawsuit, yesterday. Hänt Extra has been sentenced to pay 25,000 Swedish Kronor (around € 2,700) and publish an apology in an upcoming issue.

Apart from these judicial affairs, tomorrow the Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli will release his new CD The best of Andrea Bocelli – Vivere. A duet with Carola is included in this new album comprising Bocelli's gretest hits.

Carola has represented Sweden three times in the Eurovision Song Contest. The first of them, in 1983, she came 3rd with the song Främling. Later in 1991, Carola achieved the 3rd Swedish victory performing Fångad av en stormvind. Her latest Eurovision adventure came in 2006, when Invincible placed 5th.
