Elina Born, an Estonian singer and Stig Rästa a singer/songwriter, have been performing together since 2013.
Stig Rästa has been performing in different bands in Estonia since around 2000. His first band was called Slobodan River, and he then formed the band Traffic in 2006, where he was the main song writer. His latest band is called Outlookz, who have been together since 2010. He has also produced music for Traffic and other Estonian artists such as Maarja and Lenna.
Elena Born rose to fame on the fifth season Estonian version of Pop Idol – Eesti otsib superstaari – where she made it through to the grand final, finishing in second place. She has released 3 singles since appearing in the show.
This is not the first time either artist have competed to be the Estonian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest. Stig Rästa’s band Outloudz came second in the national selection in 2011, Traffic missed out in both 2012 and 2014, and Elena performed solo in the 2013 selection with a song written by Stig.
