RTS, next year's Eurovision Song Contest host broadcaster, has announced the details for the submission of entries for the next edition of Beovizija which will be held in February.

A specially appointed jury will select 20 entries to compete in the Beovizija semi final, ten of which will proceed to the final. Songs must be in Serbian and the contest is only open for Serbian citizens. Entries must be sent to RDU Radio Televizija Srbije, Zabavni program, Takovska 10,11.000 Beograd, by November 15. As in previous years, the songs will presented to the Serbian public in a series of shows preceding the semi final.

It is already known that Marija Serifovic, the 2007 winner, will be involved in the run for 2008 with a composition of her own, sung by the winner(s) of a talent competition she organises in collaboration with BEOTON. Also, as esctoday.com exclusively revealed, The Beauty Queens, Marija's back up singers in Helsinki, will be entering with a song composed especially for them by Vladimir Graic, the composer of the 2007 winner song Molitva.

Special thanks to Ivan Horvat of eurovision-croatia.com for his contribution.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
