Zdob si Zdub, the Moldavian Rock-ethnic band that participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, have given their fans the chance to ask them questions about the band and their personal life too.
Zdubi, as their fans call them, found the time to answer almost all the questions although their schedule is packed solidwith concerts.
One of the most important question was that of a fan asking them about the influence they have from the International Californian band “Red Hot Chili Peppers”. Zdubi declared that it is true that there is a connection with the band. They have also exchangedtheir albums and they keep in touch with them.
They like to play squash and they exchange clothes each other becausethey get bored easily of them.
About the weird and very special name they have invented for the band, Zdubi said thatinitiallythe name of the band was Noise, afterwards was Dinga, Brinza, and finally Zdob si Zdub.
They hardly speak other languages although as they say "Rock 'n roll can be easily sung in “Tarabara” language" and in case they write a book it will all be about life because life is a jungle and their book will be titled “ 100 tips to survive in the jungles of life”. Zdubi felt great that Lordi won the Eurovison Song Contest 2006 .
Zdob si zdub have answered almost all the questions. They have also declared that they have a lot of concerts until the end of the year and that they are about to enter the studioin order to recordnew songs. Hopefully, this year their new album will also be released that will contain all their video clips.
Zdob si zdubare also nominated in four categories in the Rock Alternative Music prize 2007 awards for “The band of the year”, “The video of the year”, “The hit of the year” and “The album of the year”.
