Severina, Croatia's representative at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, has received 70 000 Croatian kuna (approximately 10 00) for performing at the first anniversary celebration of a lounge bar restaurant in Zagreb.

The People's Club celebrated a year since its opening with a host of stars, including models Ivana Balić, Dora presenter Iva Jerkovićand Ivana Ergić, and the famous Croatian boxer Stipe Drviš.

Severina stirred up controversy last month when fans were charged 100 kuna (approximately €13) fora concert in her native Split on a national public holiday.

The 35-year-old singer is rarely far from the press, particularly since a private sex video featuring her and a former boyfriend found its way to the Internet in 2004.

She finished 13th in Athens with the song Moja Stikla. Lounge bars have become increasingly popular among the fashion-conscious Zagrebians since the beginning of this decade.
