Just like a couple of years ago, Sophie Garel (Luxembourg 1968) takes part in a very successful daily humour show on French television (France 2; 18 h 50 CET). Directed by comedian Laurent Ruquier (who was France's Eurovision commentator twice, in Riga 2003 and Istanbul 2004), the show has changed its name into On n'a pas tout dit.

Just like the other guests in the show, Sophie Garel doesn't appear every evening but she's still one of the most appreciated members of the team. She's also one of the most talkative and humorous participants. That's actually what she has done during her whole career.

Sophie never intended to have a singing career and the song she performed in duet with Chris Baldo in London, back in 1968, was her only record. Sophie is often asked about this experience and she always gives very funny answers, considering her catastrophic performance, as well as Baldo's. Recently she said: "RTL didn't want Chris Baldo to be alone on stage, so they put a nice and innocent girl with him. I was scared, not comfortable at all and I think Chris wasn't either. That's why he gives me a kiss at the end of the performance. This surprised me a lot, as he didn't do that during the rehearsals".

Sophie Garel was born as Lucienne Garciaon April 22nd1942 in Oran (Algeria). Shestarted working for the Monegasque broadcaster TMC in 1961. Until 1992, she worked for TMC and RTL as well as on French TV channels and for Walloon broadcaster RTBF.
