This Saturday, Flanders launches the hunt for the Belgian representative for the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with a pre-recorded start show. Fifteen candidates gathered at the Castle of Wissekerke for a singing, dancing and personality test. A professional jury decided which ten candidates will appear in the first Junior Eurosong 2007 live show on 15th September.
However, one of the initially selected songs was disqualified for not being original. As a result, only nine of the selected finalists will be revealed and make their appearance in the first heat next week and the concept of Junior Eurosong 2007 had to be changed slightly. In the first live show, six instead of seven candidates will proceed to the second live show on 22nd September, when the six competitors will be reduced to four. They will compete for representing Belgium in Rotterdam during the Junior Eurosong 2007 final on 29th September.
