Israel's fourth-placed Eurovision Song Contest star of 2005, Shiri Maimon, is set to go global as the final touches are made on her forthcoming debut international release.

Shiri is also planning a second Hebrew album due for release in January, and one track – Angel – will feature on both the international and home albums. The ballad is described as "amazing" and is hoped to cement the singer's success on home soil and beyond. Since winning popularity in the TV talent show Kochav nolad, then scoring big for Israel at the 2005 contest, Shiri's career has been a solid one, taking her from pop music, to television drama, to the theatre stage. Combining an international and a home release is part of a plan to take Shiri's voice once again beyond the confines of her home country.

Yoad Nevo is the producer behind the Hebrew album, and he comes with a shining CV featuring names such as Moby, Bryan Adams and the Sugarbabes. The first single from his collaboration with Shiri comes out later this month.
