A new website has been launched to gather requests from Mirela's fans, that want to see their idol representing Spain next year at the Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade. Mirela became one of the Spanish public's favourite entrants in the 2007 preselection Misión Eurovisión and she achieved the 2nd place in the final Gala, with the song La Reina de la Noche.
After three disapponting results for Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest,many fans have thought about Mirela to represent the Iberian country in 2008. With this aim, a new website has been launched.
"Mirela can sing, dance and has everything that a good singer must have", says the website. Its creator also stresses on Mirela's biggest wish: representing Spain in Eurovision, as one of her strong points to "achieve a top-5 position or even the victory".
The website's aim is to get as many requests as possible to ask the Spanish broadcaster, TVE, to send Mirela to Eurovision for Spain. Its owner is to send a letter to TVE "before Christmas" attaching all the fans' requests to it.
TVE were impressed with Mirela at Mision Eurovision earlier this year, where she showed professionalism and star quality well beyond her tender years. The singer was just 16 years of age when she captured the imagination of the Spanish public.
