Speculations have been spread around the web about the co-host of 2015 The Festival della canzone italiana di Sanremo. Who will be Carlo Conti‘s co-host?

Since 1951 the Festival della Canzone Italiana di Sanremo has been a major part of the Italian music calendar with the Final also being broadcast by TV channels outside Italy. At the upcoming version will have the successful television presenter, Carlo Conti taking the reins and host this week long series of shows. Conti has been speculated to be the host for many years but now his time has come.

The next big question is regarding the co-presenter.

One name which has been mentioned across many Italian media outlets is that of the singer who represented the country in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with the song La mia città, and she’s no other than Emma Marrone. On behalf of Emma, there is no reaction yet to this piece of news which means it is not confirmed or declined. In the scenario of Emma co-hosting the shows, there will be a guarantee of a large viewing audience during the week of the Festival as Emma has a huge fan base and is one of the most popular young Italian singers. She has previously taken part in Sanremo Festival, coming second in 2011 with Modà and the song Arriverà and winning the Big Artists Selection in 2012 with Non è l’inferno.

The Italian press is poised for the final word on the co-presenter with other major names also in the running but the answer will be given soon.

The Festival della canzone italiana di Sanremo

I attended my first Eurovision Song Contest in 1995, and from 1996 presented daily live reports for radio stations from the event. Since then I have been providing material from everywhere the contest has been held. I also enjoy compiling most of the video materials for three UK ESC events each year. In 2010 I first provided material for esctoday.com.
