Panto season is almost here and one of Ireland’s best known Eurovision names will be taking to the stage soon.

Niamh Kavanagh, who represented Ireland twice at the Eurovision Song Contest (1993 with In your eyes and 2010 with It’s for you), is part of the cast which will perform Cinderella – the Cheerios Panto at the Tivoli Theatre.

The pantomime will run from 10 December  2014 to 11 January 2015. Also on stage will be names well known to Irish audiences like Alan Hughes, tv3 (Ireland) presenter and Rory Cowan of the popular UK television comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys.

The Irish channel, tv3 has a daily show called Late Lunch Live, and today Niamh will be their guest. No doubt she will be talking about her role as the evil Stepmother. Niamh Kavanagh will be appearing on tv today between 15:30- 16:30 GMT.

On the website panto.ie they write that Our costume lady Fran was in at rehearsals and she said – I have a pain in my side from laughing so much, its absolutely hysterical..and I wouldnt be able to lie, if I thought it wasn’t funny id have to say.  ….add in funny costumes and gorgeous sets and I believe it’s probably gonna be our best panto ever.
