2005 Eurovision Song Contest representative for the UK, Javine Hylton, is expecting her first child, it has been reported.

Javine, who sang the R'n'B track Touch My Fire at the Kyiv contest in 2005, is expecting the baby with partner MC Harvey. The pair met on London's West End, whilst starring together in the hit show Daddy Cool. Harvey says of the pregnancy "I believe that Javine and me were meant to meet and have children. Our destiny was mapped out."

25-year-old Javine, who found fame after narrowly missing a spot in girl band Girls Aloud on the TV show Popstars – The Rivals, found some solo chart success before representing the United Kingdom in Kyiv. Despite a poor showing in the score tables despite some notoriety due to an unplanned wardrobe malfunction at the British final, the singer went on to top celebrity sports programme The Games last year, and has made several West End appearances. A second solo album is planned for release in April 2008.
