Mihai Traistariu, the Romanian entrant for the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest , is about to participate in the National Festival of pop music of Mamaia, Romania with his old band Valahia.

The music festival will take place in the city of Mamaia, Romania, on the 23rd of August at 23:45 local time. During the first evening of the festival, Mihai Traistariu will surprise his fans and he will perform the song Banii si fetele (Money and girls) with his old band Valahia, along with the other member, Dorin Topala. He will also perform on stage with other Romanian artists such as Paula Seling and Laurentiu Cazan. On the second evening, Millenium will get on stagewhile on the third nightMondial, Taxi and Kripton will perform. Mamaia 2007 Festival will end with a concert of the group VH2.

Mihai Traistariu is alsoconsidering accepting the offer to participate as a jury member for the show “Dansez pentru tine”, the Romanian version of the American show “So you think you can dance”.
The only problem, besidesfinancial negotiations, is that he is afraid of damaging his image. As Mihai recently declared” I can’t dance and everybody laughs at me. That’s it. They tried to teach me how to dance but if you don’t have it, you don’t have it. What can I do? The dance part and the dressing part are not my hot issues.”.
Specifically, the TV channel that hosts the show offered Mihai 1.500 euro for each show that is going to be broadcasted live every Friday but Mihai asked for 3.000 euro. According to Mihai's PR office, if Mihai participates he is obliged to move to Bucharest and thiswill interfere with his schedule as he is currently working on his his 10th album to be released inSeptember as well ason two video clips so he needs more time for the promotion.
