2006 Eurovision Song Contest representative, Mihai Traistariu has been nominated for yet another award, this time in his home country, Romania. He has been nominated for 'Boys – Best Hit' category. The nomination comes hot on the heels of his first American nomination, the highly prestigious 'Best Male Vocal' award at the LA Music Awards.
The singer, already voted by esctoday.com fans as the winner of 2006 Song of the year, is preparing for the international release of the music video to his latest song, Dimmi si o no, which he performed for the first time to the esctoday.com cameras at the afterparty of the Icelandic national final earlier this year. You can see the video here. The music video, directed by Iulian Moga, will debut on TVR 2 during the television show, Garsoniera lui Maruta at 10am local time.
Mihai will be travelling to Los Angeles, USA for the LA Music Awards, the launchpad for many household names including No Doubt (Gwen Stefani), Anastasia and Black Eyed Peas. The awards have been running for 17 years and are a popular television show in the United States. Mihai's nomination comes after being recognised as one of the strongest vocal talents to emerge internationally in the last year. Talking to esctoday.com during the sound check for the recent Oslo Memory Lane concert, Mihai said "It's amazing, and I am looking forward to it… I don't think I'll be moving there though".
