Lithuania has kicked off the selection for the very first Eurovision Dance Contest on 1st September. It has been confirmed that there will be a national final and those who are interested can submit their applications to the Lithuanian Sports Federation.
The Lithuanian Sports Federation will eventually select ten couples to compete in the national final. The date of the competition is yet to be announced. The complete rules of the competition can be found here (in Lithuanian).
The televised selection will kick off on 4th July. 10 couples are competing, and on every Wednesday one couple will be evicted. There will be televoting and jury voting with the televoting results to be transferred in the 'Eurovision' style, which means 12 for the best, 10 for the second best and then 8 – 1 points.
