A trailer video has been uploaded to youtube in the hope that the BBC might consider it for their Eurovision entry when the contest goes to Vienna in 2015.

The Artist is Asifa Lahore and she hopes that her song, You and I, will follow in the footsteps of Austria’s Conchita Wurst who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014. The connection is that Asifa is also an alter ego.

Her character is the inspiration of Asif Quraishi who is gay, a drag artist and also a Muslim. For those who go to the London cabaret and club scene she will be well known as a singer, hostess, cabaret artist and DJ. She is also a former bronze medalist of the prestigious Drag Idol UK.

Here is the video taster of Asifa Lahore with her song You and I.

A longer version of the song is also available on google play by clicking here.

Here is the full video of her song Revelations

I attended my first Eurovision Song Contest in 1995, and from 1996 presented daily live reports for radio stations from the event. Since then I have been providing material from everywhere the contest has been held. I also enjoy compiling most of the video materials for three UK ESC events each year. In 2010 I first provided material for esctoday.com.
