Mihai Traistariu, the Romanian representative in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, where he finished fourth with the song Tornerò, is trying to get everything ready for the next Eurovision Song Contest 2008 by taking part to the international song contest New Wave.
Actually, Mihai participates in a well known festival called New Wave which is an international competition for young singers of popular music. The show attracts millions of spectators, journalists and media as well as fans.
After three selection heats, where more than 3.000 participants competed, Mihai finished first with the highest score among the 16 finalists. The competition took place in Moscow but the final will take place in Riga, Latvia, where Mihai will perform live with an orchestra on three consecutive evenings.
The winner will be chosen by a jury and by televoting.
