London plays host to a replay of some Eurovision Song Contest classics next month, as a very special pastiche show hits the UK capital.

Eurosedos is a pastiche contest where a selection of past favourites are pitted against each other, performed exactly as they were at the contest proper – down to costumes, dance routines, and even hand gestures. A talented crew of entertainers present the entries to the audience, who then vote Eurovision style on who should win and who should get the dreaded nil points.

This year, seventeen winners and two surprise guest songs will be presented in the show, which also ran in 2005 to packed out audiences. Eurosedos 2007 runs from 26th-30th June, and you can book tickets from www.sedos.org.uk .

For a taste of what to expect, you can enjoy clips from some of the 2005 performances below.

Richard's ESC history began way back in 1992, when he discovered the contest could fuel his passion for music and languages. Since then, it's been there at every corner for him in some way or another. He joined the esctoday.com team back in 2006, and quickly developed a love for writing about the contest. In his other life, he heads the development team at the learning resources company Linguascope, and writes about all aspects of language learning on the site Polyglossic.com.
