DQs album has now made it into the Danish charts. The album that was released the week of the Eurovision Song Contest has entered at #11 while Johnny Logans new album after three weeks on the charts in Denmark is down to place #5. A musical album with Stig Rossen who came third in the 2007 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is currently placed in third position on the Danish Album Top 40.

In Denmark single releases are very uncommon which makes it hard for foreign artists from the Eurovision Song Contest to make it into the Danish charts. A few exceptions have been seen in the past, but at the moment there are no plans to release any of the songs from 2007 as singles in Denmark. None of the songs from the Danish final, not even DQ, was released as a single.

However, the album from DQ made it to 11th place its first week on the Album Top 40. On the same list Johnny Logan’s new album The Irish Connection is found in 5th position after three weeks on the chart. This is a two-place drop from last week’s third place. This album was recorded in Denmark with Danish musicians and is considered a present for his Danish fans. It is not being released in his home country, Ireland.

Both albumns can be bought from Cdon.com.
