The 2001 winner of the Eurovision Song Contest Tanel Padar commented on the semifinal held yesterday. In his view, the Eurovision Song Contest has exhausted itself and could be cancelled.

The artist who's also the brother of this year's Estonian performer, Gerly Padar, commented that in his opinion it was just about the performance this year much more than ever before. "I watched the show and it seemed everybody wanted to be a rockstar after Lord'is victory last year but who weren't were just clowns,I got a little embarrassed," he said.

He added that the Eurovision Song Contest could basicly be cancelled because it hasexhausted itself and isn't attractingwideaudiences anymore."There have to be major changes made ora new format developed for the Eurovision Song Contest. There's nothing towatch there anymore. I'd rather watch a Russian circus show on TV."
