The Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO announced the public invitation for the Slovenian national final. Sixteen songs will be selected for a one-night final in two rounds.
Songs can be send in until November 27. For 2003 there is no restriction regarding the language of the performance or citizenship of the composers, lyricists or performers. The winner will be chosen in two rounds. In the first round international jury (50%) and televoting (50%) will decide three winners. The three songs with the highest scores in the first round will be performed once again in the second round. After that the winner will be chosen by televoting.
The Slovenian national final, also called EMA, will be held at February 15th, 2003.
