The Swedish broadcasting company SVT did a study to the Eurovision voting results of the past ten years and concluded that Sweden will win the next Eurovision Song Contest. Aftonbladet reported that today.
After Afro-dite ended up at the 8th place in Tallinn this year, SVT and the Swedish national press were disappointed and even suggested that televoting was unfair. After the contest, SVT came up with the idea to step out the Eurovision Song Contest to set up a Nordic Song Contest. These plans ended up in the paper bin.
SVT took a close look at the voting results of the past ten years to find out which countries gave points to Sweden. They concluded that in 2003, all generous countries for Sweden will participate in the contest except Denmark. “Just like in 1999, when Charlotte won the contest in Israel”, SVT says.
Aftonbladet also wrote that Christer Björkman will give SVT advice this year concerning the Eurovision Song Contest. “The Swedish entry for this year must be up-tempo, performed by a female singer or more girls”, he said. Very progressive…
