The 2014 Hungarian Eurovision representative Kallay Andras Saunders will be flying to Graz, Austria this weekend, where he will be performing at a Hungarian cultural event in Hauptplatz on Friday 27 June.


The three Hungarian representations in Austria – the Embassy of Hungary, the Balassi Institute – Collegium Hungaricum Vienna and the Hungarian Tourist Office – Austrian representation – are staging a “cultural festival” from 26 to 28 June 2014 in the city centre of Graz. During the three days of the festival the best of  Hungarian popular art, music, gastronomy and tourism will be presented and showcased. The huge cultural program, which will take place mostly on the stage at the Hauptplatz, is organized by the Collegium Hungaricum Vienna and by several selected cultural institutions of Graz.

Kallay won the 2014 Hungarian Eurovision national final with his entry Running, thus winning the right to represent Hungary at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. He took Europe by storm in Copenhagen, when he achieved a 5th place at the grand final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with his entry. Kallay gave Hungary its 2nd best placing in the Eurovision Song Contest since its debut in 1994 when Frederika Bayer achieved an honorable 4th placing in the event.

Kallay is today among Hungary’s most sought after singers, enjoying much fame, name and popularity in his homeland specially since his return from the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. The Hungarian artist has been on a tight schedule ever since he got back from Copenhagen. He has been busy recording and working on his forthcoming new song Juliet, which will be released shortly.
